Composite IMPP Cone with Interlaced Dual Aramid Fiber One of our major speaker breakthroughs was IMPP (Injection-Molded Polypropylene), which allowed cones to be lighter AND more rigid. Then we added long stands of Aramid fibers into the mix, for extra strength. New Balanced-Dome Midrange with Laminated Polyester Fiber Better technology, better performance: instead of conventional materials, we used a laminated polyester fiber in our new balanced-dome midrange, the same material used in the high-end REV-series speakers. The key to this material is that it is 30% lighter than conventional materials. That difference in weight means faster and more accurate response, for exceptionally clean, detailed music. Power Handling The Premier TS-A831P now handles a full 240 watts max. power (50 watts nominal). So, what did we have to give up? Not a thing.
